Carson County

  • Carson City Human Services strives to give residents the tools needed to thrive. Case managers assist with goal planning, completing applications, coordinating services with other resources, workforce support and financial competency opportunities.
  • Friends In Service Helping (FISH) provides food, training, clothing, shelter and medical aid to the under-employed, homeless and hungry in the Carson City area, with the objective to train and refer families and individuals so they may become self-sufficient.
  • Partnership Carson City focuses on education, prevention and results for issues such as drug abuse,drug addiction, mental health and more.
  • Richards Crossing in Carson City, provides housing for people who are homeless or extremely low-income.
  • Ron Wood Family Resource Center provides community resources, education, food and other fundamental needs, suicide prevention services and more.

  • Churchill Community Coalition is a non-profit organization that has been actively engaged in prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use for more than 15 years and continues to be an organization dedicated to providing the community with prevention and wellness programs through community action and community partner support.

Douglas County

  • Suicide Prevention Network’s mission is to provide awareness, suicide prevention and support services through education, advocacy and intervention to residents of the rural communities.

Humboldt County

  • Frontier Community Action Agency (FCAA) may be able to offer some temporary support, such as free job, educational and employment services, and referrals to emergency financial assistance.
  • Humboldt County Community Services provides emergency lodging, train tickets (in emergency situations), prescriptions, cremation/burial assistance, fuel for transients or by direct referral, utilities, laundry and Frugal Flamingo vouchers, etc., for indigent persons in Humboldt County.
  • Winnemucca Lions Club provides services for the community to help those with disabilities and impaired vision, raising funds for people in-need and community bonding.

Lander County

Lyon County

  • Community Chest provides a diverse range of services which include: 1) counseling 2) family advocacy 3) youth enrichment programs and 4) employment placement assistance for residents of Storey, Lyon and Nye counties.
  • Lyon County Human Services Adult Services case managers work collaboratively with individuals and other agencies to provide person-centered services to reduce barriers, alleviate hardship, and improve self-sufficiency.
  • Suicide Prevention Network’s mission is to provide awareness, suicide prevention and support services through education, advocacy and intervention to residents of the rural communities.
